Genus Punctularia Pat.

Type: Corticium tuberculosum Pat., Bulletin de la Société Mycologique de France 8 (2): 118 (1892)
[current name = Punctularia atropurpurascens (Berk. & Broome) Petch (1916)]

The type species (see above) was described from Ecuador. Another one or two species are tropical. There is one species (see below) described from New England and found across eastern North America.
