Genus Heliocybe Redhead & Ginns

Trans. Mycol. Soc. Japan 26(3): 359 (1985)

Type: Heliocybe sulcata (Berk.) Redhead & Ginns 1985

This genus is monotypic, having a single species. It is related to Neolentinus but lacks clamp connections.

  1. Heliocybe sulcata
Rune (1994) placed Heliocybe in synonymy with Neolentinus. Garcia-Sandoval et al. (2011) say this transfer is unneccesary while Heliocybe falls outside as a sister group to Neolentinus.
