Genus Climacodon P. Karst.

[etymology: genus = ladder tooth]

This genus has six species (as of Moreno et al. 2017). Climacodon pulcherrimus has moved to Donkia pulcherrima in the Phanerochaetaceae; it has smaller shelves. One species is common in eastern North America.

  1. Climacodon septentrionalis, forms large imbricate shelves, often on maple.
